Al Hijama Cupping was established in 2015 by Suhayl Patel, a Certified Hijama Practitioner (CHP) based in Bolton, Lancashire.

“I decided to embark on this journey to become a qualified practitioner for two reasons. Firstly it has spiritual benefits being the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet ﷺ and secondly it has enabled me to learn, share and help others by treating people through Hijama therapy.”
“I pride myself to provide a unique service tailored to each individual and offer the best, professional and honest service as I possibly can. I provide the highest standard of service at all times making sure patient care and safety is at the heart of everything. I am very hygiene conscious and best practices are in force at all times.”
Hijama is not just recommended to treat particular ailments, but there is reward if performed with the niyyah (intention) of reviving a Sunnah. In fact, many Muslims have Hijama performed regularly for this very reason.
The Prophet ﷺ said “Whosoever has revived one of my Sunnah, has in fact loved me. And the one who has loved me, will be with me in Paradise.”
By having Hijama performed, and telling others, it can be changed from a forgotten Sunnah into a commonly practiced one. Not only does this have physical benefits, but strengthens ones love for the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet ﷺ.
My aim in shaa Allah is to help revive this Sunnah, and see it alive in the lives of many Muslims in the coming years. Please contact me for more information, or advice about treating particular conditions or just to have Hijama performed to revive a Sunnah and to maintain general well-being.
